Irreversible

Sometimes, I wish I could turn back time.
To rewrite the moments I now regret.
The past few years have been a whirlwind —
I’ve lived through things I never imagined,
wandered through unfamiliar places,
and danced between the chaos and calm of college life.

But you know what?
Life wasn’t that bad after all.
Because somewhere between the laughter and the heartbreak,
something beautiful happened.
Love happened.
L–O–V–E.

I know, I know — I’m not supposed to write about love.
It’s cliché, overdone, and definitely not in the memo.
But what’s a story without a little heartache?
What’s a blog without a love story that leaves you breathless?
So here I am, pouring my heart out.

I’m glad I experienced it —
that wild, confusing, bittersweet thing called love.
Because not everyone gets to feel it,
and even fewer get to keep it.

Through my teenage years, I met a few charming souls —
men who made me laugh, who made me cry,
who made me believe, even for a second,
that I was worth staying for.

And among them was you.
You stood by me through thick and thin —
not just as a lover, but as a friend.
You were there,
through the noise and the silence,
the smiles and the tears.

Sure, we argued. We stumbled.
But in every fight, there was still care.
In every silence, a heartbeat that refused to let go.
And at the end of it all,
I was — and still am — grateful.

I thank God for you.
For giving me someone who looked after me,
who protected me from harm,
who stood in the gap when I couldn’t stand on my own.
You were the calm to my storm,
the warmth I didn’t know I needed.

Yes, I can take care of myself.
But can I face the world alone?
Without you, I’d still be that quiet little girl —
lost in her room,
waiting for the right moment to shine.

So this — this little piece of my heart —
is a thank you.
For being a chapter worth remembering.
For teaching me what love feels like —
even if it didn’t last forever.

I know things didn’t work out between us,
but I’ll always be your friend.
No matter how angry I get,
I’ll still be the one standing beside you —
the one who silently hopes you’re okay.

And even if you mess up,
I won’t hate you.
I won’t hurt you.
Because seeing you hurt
hurts me too.

One thing’s for sure —
I will always love you.
Always.
Even in silence.
Even from afar.
Always. ❤️
